BLUES NIGHT AT BSC

Join us for an unforgettable night of deep Blues music on Friday, 23rd May 2025, as we bring together two extraordinary artists who have made significant contributions to the genre. The atmosphere of our Club will be electric, filled with the soulful sounds that have defined this genre for generations. Both artists are well known in the music world, celebrated for their unique styles and powerful performances that resonate deeply with audiences. We are absolutely delighted to host their gig, which is sure to be a highlight of our musical calendar. Tickets for this much-anticipated event will be available for purchase at the door for just £15, making it accessible for everyone who wishes to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Blues music. PAPA GEORGE BAND. With decades of playing live music to rock and blues audiences in the UK, Europe and US this band will be playing at the EALING BLUES FESTIVAL July 27th 2025. This London based band will deliver a night of true passionate blues. As well as playing originals, they include a range of classic blues/rock material.

PAPA GEORGE (Guitar & lead vocals) In August 2016 Papa George was presented by the British Blues Awards as a Blues Great and recognised by an American Heritage International Organisation as a “Master Blues Artist”, and was inducted into the “Blues Hall Of Fame” in February 2013.

Euro Blues Awards 2014, Papa George was nominated finalist for the solo category.

 

Press reviews of Papa’s performance were highly rated and described him as …“an amazing blues vocalist and guitarist…playing at a very impressive level and definitely memorable”...

Described by Muddy Waters guitarist, Bob Margolin “...a powerful Deep Blues player...a spectacular blues artist. “He’s got power and nuance, he’s a master entertainer and pure player.”


PETE REES – BASS PLAYER 

Pete is a well-respected bassist, who has worked with many well-known musicians and has toured throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. In 1998, Pete was playing at a private party, when Gary Moore personally selected him to work alongside him.

 

He has also worked with Papa George for 40+ both as a band member and often work as a duo in the blues rock genre. The two work seamlessly well together and the feedback from their audiences witness a truly enjoyable interaction from the two musicians.
